Our Goats
It's kidding season in Hazel Green, and that's no joke
What do you feed your goats?
People like to think that goats will eat anything, and they may try. But goats do need a complete diet just like us. Now most of that diet can come from a healthy pasture and from hay, but it is important to keep them complete with mineral and feed made specifically for goats. For our adult wethers and bucks we have found that they don't really need much feed
Mowing the pasture
Our goats graze and eat everything they like, and leave everything they don't like. Cut back the monoculture of buttercups to let new growth come in.
Worms
We like to check all our goats for worms if any of them start acting slow. If their lower eyelid is pale or white, we administer an oral dose of Metronidazole. If after two weeks they'll have another dose.
